Anything is good enough to play Dota 2 You can even comfortably play it even with HD 3000, as long as you reduce the visuals a bit.

A mate of mine plays it pretty regularly on his Surface Pro. It runs fine.

This is actually pretty cool to hear.

But the HD5000 is able to run it decently well, so the Iris graphics can only be an upgrade on that. Although performance on say a 15" w/Iris may be similar to the 13" Air HD5000 if the 15" is running higher resolution. Although, I've heard that some gamers who play on rMBPs end up running at lower resolutions most of the time anyway.
