The i5 cannot be restored to a previous firmware. You're only option is to update to the latest or do a semi restore with iLEX RAT or Semi Restore Tool. There are lots if threads in this forum that about the two options that let you keep your jailbreak.
Next time please use the search button.

you can't update to 6.1.2. Because it's old and apple is not signing it anymore.
You go only to 6.1.4 or 7.0 in a couple of months.
You are trying to update to a previous firmware. Apple has moved on from 6.1.2. There is no way you searched this forum. This type of thread comes up multiple times a day. Apple does not allow old firmware to be installed on the i5.

Another screen shot
Are you clicking "update" or "restore"? Have you made sure your hosts file don't point to cydia?
I've selected both update and restore put in DFU mode and tried to update and restore through iTunes and every time get the same message & no I don't know about my host files how do I check that

Did you fix it? I'm having a similar problem.
Your OP says you are trying to restore to 6.1.2. It was only later on that you said you want to restore to 6.1.4. So was the OP a typo?
In any case, double check that you have the correct 6.1.4 firmware for your device. I believe there are at least two different firmwares for iPhone 5, depending on if your phone is GSM or CDMA.
nope
NO read it again ,it says i am on 6.1.2 not that I'm trying to restore to 6.1.2.!!!!!!!!
Would love to give you guys a break, if someone had something useful to contribute.Ah. Well, it was easy to think that on was a typo for to. Give us a break, would you?
OP, did you figure out what hosts files are and how to check yours? I can provide assistance on this topic if you need it.

Go to gs.apple.com on the computer you're trying to restore the device
Where does that lead you to?
