Hello,
I am currently trying to create a bootable external hard drive for Mountain Lion 10.8. I have done my research on how to do it, but end up getting this error every time: Restore Failure: could not restore - error - 206
I have read in a few forums that the error is simply a checksum error and to ignore it, as it looks like all the files have been "restored" onto the drive. But then when I try to boot into the external drive to install the OS, I get the apple symbol first and the it switches to the circle with a slash through the middle. I feel like the drive has not been restored properly, even thought I have partitioned it as a GUID.
Can anyone help me here? The drive I am using is a Freecom 500gb ST500LM0
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Dustin
