Can't continue setup without iMessage?

I don't have iMessage. I don't want iMessage. I don't have an iPhone or an iPod. I just have a Mac and want to use it as a Mac.

I bought a new laptop and have reached this point in the setup, but without selecting my email address it won't let me continue.

I particularly don't like the wording of "Let other people reach you at" - I don't want others to be able to search for me by my email address on iMessage.



How do I continue without joining iMessage?
