...I have a backup script I'm trying to write. I have a few friends that will likely want copies of this file, and rather than edit the file and send them each a unique copy of the file, I was wondering if there was any decent way to run my Applescript via a configuration file of some sort? I know AS isn't exactly known for it's text-parsing capabilities (it's certainly not Perl), but I figured it could likely handle something simple.

If it's going to be easier to just create unique versions of the file for other people, then so be it, but any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
