Hello I plan on replacing my optical drive with a 128 SSD and keeping the 500 HDD inside as well. This will be a new computer so I plan on having my old HDD cloned to this new one for $50 (local shop price). I consider myself pretty technologically savvy and I've installed HDDs ram etc however nothing like this. So my questions are
Should I pay a shop to clone my old HDD to my new one? I could possibly do it myself.
How can I transfer my OS and a few select programs to my SSD?( also note that I have a windows xp partition on my old HDD with only a couple programs )
Lastly, would there be fluidity between the two drives? For example I plan on putting Microsoft office on the ssd but probably saving docs and presentations to the HDD, will this be a somewhat tedious compared to having one drive.
