Hello guys. just a few days ago i traded my iPad (3rd Gen, Retina) 16Gb Cellular model + a smart case + a bluetooth keyboard for a 2011 (mid) Mac mini with 2.3Ghz i5 and 2gb of ram+ apple wireless keyboard + magic trackpad.
Can you guys tell me if that was a good trade or not? Because i had some arguments with some of my friends

From a money only perspective it probably was fair, unless you paid much more or much less than 600 USD for the iPad plus keyboard + cover.

A sandy bridged Mac Mini is a couple of years old. I think a straight trade gave the other person a good deal imo, i.e., you gave away more then what you got.

I think it was a good deal

A mid 2011 Mac mini is like a 2012 base mini right ?

So $540 refurb after taxes

An ipad 3 16gb cellular is going for $400 & under on eBay

But that 2gb ram is no good

well, when i bought the ipad I payed 520 euros +50 for the smart case and 15 the keyboard, the overall is almost 600euros.
Here the mac minis cost way more than in america (Greece)
for example the base model right now sells for 709 euros (Just The Mini, No accessories) that's equal to 950 dollars.

Edit: when i bought the iPad i didn't payed it's retail price, i got it 120 euro less
