Annoying iMovie issue

Whenever I try to drag a clip to the end of the iMovie timeline, it suddenly jumps to the next desktop. If I have iMovie open on desktop 1, and try to move a clip to the end, it thinks I'm trying to drag the clip to desktop 2 and suddenly switches. Gahhh!

Help?
