How to remove the annoying ads in limewire
Those damn ads in limewire are annoying and you can remove them without going pro
In the limewire folder there is a folder called libs open it then remove the "ADS" folder then bobs your uncle NO ADS BUT EVERYTIME YOU START LIMEWIRE IT WILL DISPLAY AN ERROR MESSAGE BUT YOU JUST CLICK OK AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT

Hm, you know what? Scratch that. Sorry. I just tried using 18c a few minutes ago and the thing can't find files for ***** anymore. And before that I used to stick with 17c but that thing started crashing after they released 2.0.
Sorry! I shouldn't have opened my big mouth until I tried it recently. |

Okay, regarding your error message on startup:
Don't remove the "ads" folder or the "ads.props" file! That's the file that the error message asks for. Keep it in there. Just delete all the .gif images and there you go. No banners, no errors. Easy.
