Hi.

I want to know if the iPhone 4/4s have an A5 45mm or 32mm like the iPad mini and iPad 2,4 ?

Also do you think it possible that the iPhone 5C will be on A5 32mm which could increase the battery life by 20% like the iPad 2 next gen ??

The iPod touch 5th gen, the iPad mini and the 2012 iPad 2 all have the 32nm A5.

The 4S did not the receive the new chip after it was reduced to it's lower price point after Sept 2012.

(The ATV has had two versions of the 32nm A5 - both single core.)

Thanks. What is ATV ? So the iPod touch had better battery life than iPhone 4S even if it has a smaller battery ?
A5 is a not a dual core on iPad mini and iPhone 4S ?

Apple TV ;)

Only the Apple TV has the Single Core A5. When it was introduced in March 2012, it had the same chip from the revised iPad 2, but one core was disabled. In March 2013, the newer A5 was built with just one core.

Sorry I'm so awful at explaining things :p

Original A5 - iPad 2, iPhone 4S

32nm A5 - iPad 2 (March 2012/ 2,4 etc...), iPad mini, iPod touch

32nm A5 (with one core disabled) - Apple TV

32nm A5 (smaller, designed specially with one core) - Apple TV (March 2013)

Theoretically a 45nm to 32nm switch in a phone with all else constant would be a better battery life improvement, percentage wise, than for the iPad 2. Since the phone's screen is smaller, it takes less of a share of the battery life, meaning the SoC has a bigger share.
