General iOS not for iPod touch 4th gen

It's probably because the 4th-generation iPod touch only has 256 MB of RAM, barely enough to even get by on iOS 6.

Yeah I think this is the case - so no, Apple are not being stupid. They're being smart.

Really?iOS 6 lags on the 4th gen and you expect them to release iOS 7 onto it?The iPod Touch 4g is not the cousin of the iPad 2!The iPod Touch has the A4 chip versus A5 chip, 256MB compared to 512MB(This one is the main issue why it doesn't get iOS7!It would lag when it comes to multitasking a lot!).Also, the graphics chip is not the SGX 543MP2, but the old and oudated SGX 535, which even the 3GS used to have!

Overall, the 4th gen iPod Touch is 2 times slower than the iPad 2 across the board!The iPod Touch 5th gen is about the same when it comes to specs and performance as the iPad 2!(a bit slower becuase the iPod has the CPU clocked at 800Mhz compared to the 1Ghz iPad 2 CPU)

NO!! Basically: NO!! The iPad 2 uses a dual core processor called A5 with 512MB RAM and a graphics chip nine times faster than A4. The iPod touch A4 has WAY LESS RAM (not sure if 128MB or 256MB) and the A4 processor. Comparable specs are used in iPad FIRST GENERATION. The iPad 2 is "bigger cousin" of the following Apple A5 devices: iPad mini, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 5th gen - they have the same specs.

Sorry for writing bold, but I don't like people acting like they know everything and didn't even do a google research.
