If this holds true, it doesn't look gaudy at all. A new iphone color is always a welcome addition.

It has the slightest tint of gold ever. It looks like a Mac to me. If that's the color I may be switching from black for the first time.

I knew Apple would not release some BRIGHT GOLD ugly looking phone.

That's how I envisioned the "gold" 5S when it was first mentioned.

Actually it's not gold, but champagne color. Look at real gold color, and that is not what I see, nor would Apple make one looking gold in color. Just like James Bonds movie "Gold Finger" and that gun was gold colored. Gold color would not look good on an iPhone, but Champagne color is classy in my opinion.

Two and a half weeks and we will hear what Tim Cook calls the color. My bet is on Champagne.

PS: I like that color

black & white iphone is still way better.

I hope they make it "high-end" by only selling it in 64gb (128gb?). Kinda like when the white iPhone only came in the higher gigabyte flavor.

I think it's funny everyone bashing apple for a gold phone, like apple doesn't know how to make a phone beautiful looking. This will sell in droves. I really like it

Anyone who thinks Apple will discontinue the black iPhone really knows nothing. Black is the highest selling and most popular option.

This champagne color looks really nice, but I don't want this for 2 whole years

The idea of a gold iPhone certainly sounded FUGLY, that's for sure (think C3PO gold). After seeing those pictures I have to say Apple pulled it off, it looks really good IMO.
