Keystation 49e with Logic Express and Cubase
I know it's just a basic cheap controller, but it works fine with just
the USB connection in GarageBand, however after weeks of messing around with Logic Express and Cubase it won't activate any of those instruments with the USB connection alone. Am I missing something or do those apps require an actual midi connection and an interface to work?

I don't know who writes the manuals for this stuff and the help guides, but
they need to make things much less complicated. I FINALLY got the VST instruments to work in Cubas. Logic on the other hand is still a technophobe' s nightmare.

i hope you could respond this was posted hella days ago
How did you figure this out. I'd rather be told how to, instead of fumbling around with manuals and piecing together other people's forum post/replies.
I just got logic express 7 and I have the same keyboard. No Cubase. Not really familiar w/ different DAWs (except GBand and Protools that is). But if I do get cubase, will the keyboard magically work? Is the midi running from Logic to cubase or vice versa. Your reply would be greatly appreciated.
