I've got a mid 2010 MacBook Pro and the trackpad stopped clicking the other day. After looking online, I'm hoping it's just a swollen battery but I don't have the tools to fix it yet. I figured I'd just use a mouse but it acts wonky too. Sometimes I can't left click with a mouse and I have no idea why. Any suggestions why the mouse is so problematic? I've tried 2 mouses, a wireless one and a wired one. Both had issues left clicking at times.

I don't have Apple Care and the nearest retailer is 1.5 hours away (and the toll to get there is $44.50).
