Taking into account Apple's new Mac Pro design, it looks like either it will be sold only with a power cable and you buy the keyboard separately. Of course, I could be wrong, but I am basing my assumptions from the Mini which is compact in design but requires you provide your own peripherals.

Your guesses and assumptions are as good as anyone else's.

I'm guessing it won't come with them. Pretty sure most people buying one already know a keyboard and pointing device. Those who don't will certainly be able to buy one at the time, same as with a Mini.

Since a keyboard and mouse/trackpad will likely only amount to 0.01% of the value does it matter? You know the old saying: "If you have to ask then...."

Since it's a Mac Mini Pro, users will have to provide their own (BYODKM) =}

I'm betting no. Like everything else they will want to keep the package as small as possible because they think it is cool.

Don't need any. You enter data by rolling it up and down on your desk and you move the cursor and select by tapping both end as you would a tam-tam... Think different.

Considering the wireless keyboard is really small, I doubt they'd take up much space in the box lol.

Why wouldn't it come with the keyboard/mouse?

I am betting the same, or it come with the wireless Bluetooth mini keyboard and Magic Mouse in a rectangular design.

Just can't picture it coming in a box as big as the G4 Cube though. Would be nice if it came with them and small enough to slip in carry on luggage.

I suspect a keyboard and mouse will be optional accessories like with the Mac Mini (not in the same box). However, I would love a new wired keyboard with numeric pad and built in USB3 hub in all black.

Your assumption is wrong, Apple does not make small packages to be cool; it's a company that answers to share holders, and by saving money with regard to small packages makes business sense.

Nothing else.

I'm pretty confident that a keyboard and mouse will be included. Can't see why not.

I'd bet there will be a keyboard. I would dare say it won't be a wireless one, too. It makes more sense on a Pro machine (or a machine that is promoted as a Pro, if you will).

I don't think you got my double meaning about wanting to keep it small. It wasn't a jab at the packaging itself. ;)

The present Mac Pro comes with a keyboard and wireless mouse, seems reasonable they would do the same on the new version. I'd guess it would have a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Black would be neat, but I'm fine either way.

Hopefully they will use this opportunity to finally release a wireless keyboard with numeric keypad.
