When I open a pdf in Ibooks it opens in Preview. Really? They should not advertise PDF if it opens another application. Might as well open Adobe Reader from ibooks.
I am missing something here?

Many OS X applications can open PDFs. How do you expect iBooks to be the default if you don't tell it to do so? Click File/Get Info. Change Opens with: from Preview to iBooks.

That'll still open it in Preview...

I agree. I expected the PDF to open in iBooks. I personally don't like them opening in Preview if I have them as an iBook. Crazy opinion maybe, but that's how I am :)
