iPhone and iMessage

Hi.

My friend did have a 4S, she now has an HTC.

EVERYTIME I send a message my iPhone tries to send an iMessage, not a regular message.

I've even deleted the contact, re-added it and even then, it still tries to send an iMessage.

(Yes, I know you can long press and 'Send as Text Message' but I don't want to do that everytime I send this person a message.)

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
