Resolved HELP New iTunes update seems frozen RUNNING SCRIPTS

So this morning I downloaded the new iTunes on my imac, but it seems to have frozen 2/3rds through running package scripts, how long should it take ?

Been stuck about 1 hour now, what can I do ?

What happens if I force restart ?

Cheers wasnt sure about a shutdown without advice so used my applecare callback.
Did a restart but had to give up with any other phone help as had problems understanding her, computers working an will leave it a couple of weeks till I try the update again, as she mentioned other people having problems .
