iTunes Library help

I had a new hard drive put in my iMac, and reinstalled everything from scratch. When I try to get itunes to use the folder I've always used as my itunes library (an an external drive), it says: "An iTunes library file could not be found in the folder iTunes. Please choose a different folder."

Anybody know what I need to do here?
