Thanks for reading...
I currently have the stock mid-2012 MBP - 2.3-i7 w/ 500Gig HDD
I am looking to install Bootcamp and run apps almost predominantly with parallels(business stuff, no games at this point) while running OS X. My question comes specifically with future upgrades. I was planning to install a SSD in the optical drive bay at some point, and boot OS X off of that. What pitfalls could popup in transitioning OS X boot off of the HDD to the SSD? I'd imagine I'd like to wipe the HDD at that point. Would a backup of the windows side, reinstalling of bootcamp/windows and a restore from that drive even work?
There are a slew of additional questions that then follow - What if I want to replace the HDD with something better(1 Terabyte HDD) what happens with the windows install? Is it paired with the HDD or the MBP/CPU? etc...
Thanks again for any advice you might have.
