got a 5S yesterday, no iwork or iphoto and when i go to the app store theyre full price. any idea how/where to get them? google shows nothing
What were you expecting? Hours of labor went into making those two apps. There's no way around paying for paid software unless you tread into illegal activities, which I don't advise that you do.

Maybe you missed the part in the iPhone announcement on the 10th when these would be free with new device purchases.
I cannot seem to find iWork. Is it not available in Canada or am I just an idiot?

iWork is a group of apps as in Pages, Keynote & Numbers
Yup, but when I call up any of them they have a price attached. (Although I purchased pages long ago so maybe that is why?) I thought there was supposed to be a "Free Apps screen" that comes up...
Got it on a phone that was simply upgraded from iOS 6 to 7. It came up at one point shortly after upgrading, possibly upon visiting the App Store (although maybe after a few times). If I recall correctly the free app screen only comes up if you do a fresh install of iOS. On my iPhone I only performed an update but with my iPad I did a fresh install and the free apps screen came up after I signed in with my account. I had oreads purchased the iWorks apps years ago.

Apps are not showing as FREE for me either. Just bought a 5S this week too...
