Looking for a nice slim Laptop case for my iBook 12"...

I'm not sure how much you were looking to spend, but Booq makes sleeves that hold the computer, as well as a front pouch for the power adapter (an iPod would fit in there as well), along with a back compartment for a couple of magazines/papers.

I have one for my 15" PowerBook and have been happy with it - allows me to carry the computer and a few other accessories in an easy fashion. It also has a shoulder strap.
I know it's not particularly cheap, but I thought it might suit your needs.

I really like my SleeveCase from Waterfield Designs (http://www.sfbags.com). Depending on how much storage you need, you can get the piggyback which gives you a bit more room.
The construction is top-notch, and despite my initial skeptic tendencies about all of the great feedback they have on their site, its all true!
