Hello

I have formated the boot volume on a new disk on my PowerBook with the format case-sensitive HFS+ without being aware that some applications could break as some library could not be loaded for case sensitive differences in their file or path name. Now I would like to convert back to the non case-sensitive HFS+ format and would like to do it without reformatting and reinstalling the complete system and data. Is there any way to do that or is the reformatting and reinstallation the only way  ?

Many thanks and with best regards

Back up any new files that you may have stored on the PowerBook and reformat.

Well, I have a very similar problem here.
I backuped my entire MAC via Time Machine, (case-sensitive)
then i formatted back into into case-insensitive. :)

But now I have the problem that i cant copy my apps like iphoto, itunes to my mac ... coz somewhere in the pack / sys is a file in the same name - the system cant distinguish now. :(

What now??? I have tried several applications to find the duplicates
but most software will find me ALL duplicate of a file (which i am not interested in) I just need to find the files which make problems at copying.
- Files in the same location "Folder" whit the same name !!!

Any ideas how to make his happen ???
