Nothing but 16GB Space Gray, within 80KM from my house. Only 1 64GB Space Gray, a little further. All Gold and Silver are gone from everywhere in Nor Cal.

Do the stores keep stock that doesn't show on the "available now"

Or does "available now" reflect all stock at a store at a given time?

It ties itself directly to Apple's inventory checker.

Ok thanks.

Does Apple's inventory checker equate to what they have "total" stock; or does it only reflect select reserve for folks ordering online seeking in-store pick-up?

Think it through...

Stores still have people lining up. They hand out reservation cards of what phones they have at the time and then serve the lined up people in order.

How do you keep the Online order-for-instore-pickup from selling a phone you gave a reservation card out for to some guy on line?

Simplest seems to divide up incoming shipments, allocating some stock to walk-up sales and some stock to online in-store pickup sales.

Open to other thoughts.
