Instacast 4 - Does it sync or manage in-app only?

Hi all,

I've long resisted the abomination that is Apple's Podcasts app .... but now with iOS7 alas i have no choice ...

Basically its a nightmare and just doesn't work so time to consider alternatives...

With something like Instacast or any other people might suggest... do they or can they capture the podcasts sync'd from iTunes (i do manage mine that way historically) or do these apps manage them independently only in-app?
