What is the exact panel type of the iPad 4?

Most websites do not care and just write "IPS". That is not enough information. There are many types of IPS technology. Some sites say "S-IPS". Saying is not proving. All I want are reliable sources.

If different manufacturers provide different panels, I would like to know that, too.

Anyone who knows more?

Well, Super-IPS panels have this distinct 'Chevron' style sub pixel layout, as seen in the attachment.

Now take a look as this article from Anandtech;

Ok, only the iPad 3 is shown, but I'd guess the iPad 4 is no different.

So I'd hazard a guess at S-IPS, but that's all I can give you I'm afraid :/
