I've never experienced a situation in which the beta's of a new OS X release work perfectly, yet the GM release suddenly... hates me. I was on the fence on a "clean install" but it seems I may no other recourse.

(
10.9 on a 6-Core Mac Pro5,1)
- Time Machine - Slow, two days in and only 33GB of 1.67 TB is backed onto an internal HDD

- iTunes won't open consistently

- Mail - Must quit and reopen to receive mail other devices receive

- Unlike our government, it won't shut down

- Networking - cannot connect to previously connected servers and systems

- App's - Third party app's such as "Colors for Hue", "Ember" or "Climate" that worked, do not now.

I'm finding more as I type but I can't do anything until this bloody backup is finished. I've removed any third party apps, logged into a guest account, all the same. Very strange indeed. If Time Machine doesn't complete, I'll have to copy my boot SSD using CCC, then clean install via USB and spend Sunday having geeky fun.
