Pure form of Republican hypocrisy?

Time and again I see/hear/read Republicans vocally complaining about Democrats paying people to sit around and do nothing.

And yet...

House votes to approve back pay for furloughed workers

Really?

If you are going to pay them to do nothing,
why not pay them to do work?

So to fix our budget, we are now giving government workers more paid vacations? WhAt am I missing here?
