This one is less expensive.

Also only does 30Hz at 4K and lower pixel density. It is a TV (doesn't have computer monitor connectors from what can see on the page.) At this point in time, HDMI doesn't largely overlap with computer monitors performance range at the high end.

Never heard of this company? seiki digital

A facade for one of the big Chinese contractors that some large names outsource to:

http://www.tongfang-global.com/Seiki.asp

Looks like outsourcing just about everything out the door is about bite them in the butt. Looks like they are both bypassing pixel density , color, and/or fidelity improvements just to deploy today's tech at "4K" sizes. Keep "new" to the number of pixels (not size/composition of pixels) and ship early before the more bleeding edge stuff comes down in price.

Seiki just looks kind of Japanese. Wouldn't be surprising if Chinese government subsidies were "buying" market share also here also.

I Like there motto "4K doesn't have to cost 5K" http://www.seikidigital.com/products/seikiPro/4k.php lol

Well regarded by actual professionals over at Reduser. Limited? Yes. But ability to view 4K material at native res was a god send, especially at the price.

And they were even smart enough to figure out how to adjust color via hidden menus. Those guys don't just use big words to sound smart, they get off their butts and make things work.
