Is it possible to know if a dmg file, has the bootable feature enabled?
Perhaps there is a way to see the insides of a dmg file to understand if it can work as bootable when burned on a dvd?

There's nothing in the .dmg format that flags the contents as "bootable", AFAIK.

A Mac will boot to any physical volume that contains the necessary boot files. This is handled by the EFI.
