I'm about to purchase a 13" rMBP for a friend of mine (waiting for tomorrow

But since he isn't that Mac savy he wants the one-to-one membership with it.
What I'm wondering is if the membership entitles you to attend workshops and get help from any Apple Store worldwide, or just in the country of purchase? Because my friend lives in South Africa half of the year really close to a Apple Store there.
I of course called the Dutch Online Apple Store about this and they said no, but I had he feeling he just didn't know :/
