Hello,

I have a problem with my MBA 2013 13", if I let my mac on (for example downloading a 2gb file) without touching it under charging or not, when the screen goes black the connection to my wifi network get disconnected, why? How to fix that? I already unflagged the "stop disk..." option on energy save (both battery mode or charging)

thank you

By any chance, are your settings set for when the screen goes black the MacBook Air also is going to sleep?

I know this seems pretty obvious, but just checking. Otherwise, I am not sure what exactly would make your WiFi disconnect when the screen goes black, as mine does not on either one of my Mac's.

I looked on the Apple Support Forums and someone suggested resetting the SMC.

System Preferences / Energy saver

Two tabs : Battery and Power Adapter

Check : Computer Sleep, and Display Sleep.

Yes that's what I was referring to in the first post, computer sleep is unflagged
