I downloaded Mavericks on my new Mac Mini. It runs great.
I also have a late 2008 Macbook. Before I download Mavericks on the Macbook I would like to know from your experience what the performance is like
concerning speed and battery. Thanks in advance for your comments.

This thread probably belongs in the Macbook area but whatever.

I have a Late 08 Macbook mb467ll, 4GB ram, 250GB Sammy EVO SSD and it screams with Mavericks.

Battery life is a bit better than on Mountain Lion, about 15-30 mins better but the battery is aged, over 700 cycles, 89-90% capacity according to coconutBattery and iStat.

Battery honestly lasts about 2.5 hours to 3 depending on usage. On ML is was a smidge less, I couldn't hit 3 hours if I tried. Hitting that mark quite often with Mavericks :D
