Aos = ios + osx ?

Apple appear adamant that a hybrid OS like Windows 8 isn't the way for them. But, surprises happen. I never expected the PowerPC -> Intel transition.

I wouldn't say that something like this would NEVER happen...but I think we are still a long ways away from it happening. 10+ years if I had to make an arbitrary guess. iOS is designed to be touched. I've seen no signs that Apple is interested in making laptops or desktops with touch displays. OS X is a much more capable and versatile OS designed for much more capable and versatile hardware. I think it will be a long time before we see these differences reconcilded. And this is only scratching the surface.
