I found this old post - https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1200110/

but I cannot find any confirmation that the update happened, even on the Office blog. This was over 2 years ago!

And there's this post from MS - http://blog.officeformac.com/were-ready-for-mountain-lion/

Which is a total joke, 'ready' for Mountain Lion without supporting any of Lion's features?!

Their 'Lion' Release was SP2:

https://www.macrumors.com/2012/04/12/microsoft-releases-office-for-mac-2011-service-pack-2/

It supported fullscreen in Lion, but nothing else. No versions or auto save.

Lync doesn't support the sleep processes in Mountain Lion so will log you out when the Mac goes to sleep.

Outlook and Lync still don't support Notification Center.

Rumors are that there's a new version out in the spring, hopefully they bring things up to date then.

It seems LibreOffice doesn't have versions/autosave support either ?!

Is that so hard to add? Do most other apps on Mac support it? As a prospective buyer, this is not good news, since I got very excited when I read about these features.
