Anyone ever use a website like http://www.cashinyourlaptop.com to sell a laptop?

They seem be giving almost double compared to other websites for some old equipment I have.

Any other suggestions? I prefer a place I can just ship to and get a check mailed to me, don't want the hassle of eBay, forums, or CL.

The saying too good to be true came to mind. I'm not familiar with them and if you say they're paying out 2x what you normally get - well that definitely raises some red flags to me.

After searching around on a few scamming and fraud alert websites, it seems that they are legit, but do bait and switch tactics. Give you a high quote, but when you ship your item to them, they low ball you about 30-40% of the original quote.

The best reviewed website I could find was http://www.cash4macbooks.com. They seem to give very accurate quotes (not as high as other websites, but honest) and pay out past.

I will be giving them a try and report back.

Legit companies do not practice bait and switch tactics.

By legit I meant they do not take your product and never pay. If you are not happy with the lower offer they give you, they will send the item back to you free of charge.

I'd rather just not deal with that and play a bidding war on the phone. I read their customer service is rubbish. Hopefully the reviews on the other website are true and better. I just want something hassle free and fast, even if it's less cash.
