One thing that I wish the iPad had the ability to do is have multiple user accounts. Like on a desktop where different people can sign into their own accounts and not have access to other's accounts. My kids like to use my iPad and there are some things that I rather not have them get into.

Next step, once they add the touch id on the ipad. Imagine switching user profiles with your fingerprint!

I'm sure Apple's preferred solution is you buy an iPad for every member of the household.

See, you don't NEED the functionality you're asking for because you're doing it wrong.

It would be very nice to have multiple users. One of the many limitations of iPads compared to a computer. I suppose Apple considers these to be personal devices and, as posted before, Apple thinks everyone should buy their own.

Even a "me" and "guest" account would be sufficient.

That's a pretty good idea, or a guest mode, where all your private apps cannot be accessed. Basically I just don't want people going into mail, Facebook, etc.

For me it's mainly my notes, photos, mail and Facebook.

I could see it as a feature for iOS 8. But, that's just speculation. If enough people ask for it they'll eventually add it.
