No 17" MBP or displays either......

I have seen in the past no 17" MBP's but never before no Mac Pro's. I did also notice no displays which I thought was odd as well?

Somehow prices of the 5.1 2.66ghz 12 core and 2.93ghz 12 core are still holding up and are few in numbers. In MacofAllTrades, I have not seen for sale multi-core 2009-2010 models except the 4 cores.

I never thought that supplies of the old Mac Pro would dwindle so quickly.

I was hoping as a back up plan I would be able to pick up a 12 core 3.06 or 2.93 for a good price if I didn't like the nMP once it came out and I saw some of the reviews and real world bench marks, both CPU and GPU. But thats not looking to good right now.

I haven't seen any 2.93 or 3.0612 core mp that are new. Weren't those only configurable from Apple?

Regardless, it's obvious prices on all of those are dropping and we can get one if the nMP doesn't fit our bill.

Just FYI, fair warning about this outfit. When I was in the market for my MP, I ran across this company and their prices seemed to be almost too good compared to others, so I read several reviews from various people and they were not good. Buyer beware.

Thank you for heads up

That was fast, wow already gone.

Yup you have to be quick making a decision with these refurbs.

Yesterday there were a couple 3.33 6 core MP and I just about went for it then I decided not to, and they were gone in like a hour.

Gone again:eek:

The newly listed 12 cores 3.06ghz and 2.93ghz are gone again ! That went out fast. Wow. Only the 3.2ghz quad is available as of this hour. I also noticed, a month ago when the 12 core 2.66ghz was listed, it was priced at $4055 as far as I remember. When it was relisted it was priced a bit higher at $4284

I saw that as well. I think the price difference is because of the model year between the 2010 and 2012. Both years had a BTO option of the 12-core 2.66.

3.2 quad in stock right now. No displays though!

If talking about the USA refurb store.... gone.

The next Mac Pro isn't selling right now. Apple has pulled the current one from their store. So the only way to buy a Mac Pro directly from Apple with normal warranty and eligible for AppleCare is through the refurb store.

This is same state the EU markets have been in for around 9 months. Same impact. Refurb store, where available, emptied as soon as any show up. [ If recall correctly there is some webservice that crawls the store and will email as soon as something shows up. ]

Once the new Mac Pro starts shipping, these refurb may stick around online for longer blocks of time.
