Or you could have anticipated your storage needs and gotten something bigger from the get go.

Yeah I went back and forth before eventually getting the 32gb. I was jus being cheap. I read somewhere that the Apple apps installed with a game like Infinity Blade 3 was a little over 7gb.

16 won't work if you store anything on your iOS devices.

this is definitely true but coming from an ipad 2 16 gb that i didn't come even close to filling, i had no idea that i'd be able to fill the ipad air so quickly

The 16GB version works great for a large portion of the general public. My mom, my GF, lots of "non-techie" users. It doesn't work fine (most likely) for a significant portion of MacRumors users. That doesn't mean that Apple shouldn't be selling it still.

When in doubt, double up your storage. :)

On the other hand, hopefully you bought from a place with an easy exchange policy!

Its all about personal usage. I mostly stream movies and music is on my phone. 16 suits me well.

You can see the size of each apps. You might have just a few that are eating up all the space. Maybe you can delete some?

16 works for me but I will be happy when 32GB becomes more standard. Power users will always need more but 32 is enough to fill a lot of people's needs.

With 16 I just have to be conscious to delete stuff I'm not actually using anymore. If I had more space I'd just let it get cluttered.

people don't listen to forum members when they say that 16GB is not enough. i've been one of the vocal ones when people come on here and ask which size. i say 32GB should be minimum and if they have the extra $100 get 64GB.

i had a 32GB iPad 3 and i kept running out of space from the get-go. i returned it and bought a 64GB iPad 3 as a refub after the 1st refurb price cut (when iPad 4 came out) . i am really glad i got the 64GB iPad for sure

i would get 128GB but the price at that point just can't be justified

To the OP, take it back and get a 32GB model. I assume most places exchange within 14 days if not 30 days.

I feel 32GB is now the sweet spot and I recommend 64GB to stay ahead of the game and have high resale value. I would even buy the 128GB if I had the money. Let's face it Apple is coming out with these things every year and we are always going to want the latest and greatest. Thinking about resale value should be considered in your purchase.

I would prefer if that's where they started to be competitive with the market but at the same time they don't need to because people like me will never go back to android

Competitive with the market?

Which other tablet computer gives you 32GB of storage on a base model?

I'm fine with my 16GB. 2 pages of apps plus a folder full of games and 5GB left. I could easily delete some of the games (which I got mostly to try out) if I need more, but can't see that happening.

The 16GB is fine, just not made for people with certain usage patterns. I keep all my music and pics on my 32GB iPhone, so my iPad is for browsing, email, skype, and eBooks. Primarily use is for my couch and bed.

My 16Gb is fine.

Your requirements surpass that of 16Gb, only you are at fault for cheaping out and buying the 16Gb.

Return it and get the 32Gb, think all Airs have the holiday return policy?
