iPhone Call history log limit

Anyone why apple hasn't figured out that having call logs for as long as a month or more can only be beneficial to the user? I get like no less than 20 calls a day and sometimes before I can get to save them the number has vanished from the call log list.

I have like 50 numbers in my call history log going all the way back to the first day I got my phone on 10/15.
