iOS 7.0.4 - no sound on iPhone 4S

Hey!

Suddenly out of the blue yesterday I was getting no sound out of the iPhone 4S after upgrading 2 days ago.

Tried a reset and it worked and stopped again, but if someone rings me it works fine!

Anyone have an answer? Thanks :)

A long shot, but... you haven't been using Airplay by any chance? It's pretty easy to send sound to Airplay and forget about it. Later, if the Airplay device output is muted, you can scratch your head for a minute or two wondering why your device is silent.

It could be a hardware fault. Water damage, for example, can make an iPhone think that an audio device is connected to its charging port, even though there isn't one.
