Hi guys,

I like the new OS X Mavericks with all it's features. But one question I've had since Mountain Lion released..

Is there any way to get the screen extension / screen mirroring from your mac to your apple tv WITHOUT any latency/lag/delay?

My router is an Netgear WNR2000. Was thinking of buying one of Asus top of the line routers with the new AC standard etc.

Any tips, solutions or own expierience are very welcome.

IIRC, the ATV3 does not support 802.11AC so upgrading your router won't really help. You won't be able to completely eliminate lag in a setup like this. The best you can do is connect your rMPB and the ATV to your network via Ethernet.

Wired Ethernet from the router to the ATV3 will help. An 802.11ac router like the AEBS wouldn't hurt for the MacBook. If you're trying for no lag it's not going to happen unless you use an HDMI cable from your MacBook to the TV.
