So I have a 15" early '11 macbook pro and I have a 3D Vizio tv. I have friends with PCs that are able to hook their computers up to their 3D tvs and it works great. I cannot find a mini display port to hdmi though that supports it for mac users. Does anyone have an personal experience with this? Ideas? Anything?

Thank you, so if I bootcamp my computer then it will work?
You should give it a try. I've never bothered. I just buy the FullHD 3D movies on BluRay or burn them to BD-R discs. Those that I don't care about more than a single watch, I just AirPlay as SBS or OU to AppleTV.

I was reading this thread and seems some people are able to get it to work.

The guy is talking about SBS and OU (which he refers to as Top&Bottom). Such movies are no 3D for video channel (they just squeeze both eyes' images into a single video frame, hence you lose half of resolution for single eye in one direction) and you can play them back over VGA/mDP/HDMI cable or even AirPlay.
