Happy new Xserve G5 owner =)

Happy owner here, for a whole 40$ (donation) I managed to get an excellent condition Xserve G5 2.0 w/4GB ram, 80 X 2x500GB SATA HD's.
10.3 and 10.4 server w/unlimited clients included!

TOP it all off, they throw in a Xserve Raid w/14x500 (7TB) !

Just bought a fibre channel PCI-X and a few FC cables to hook it all up.

Nice early Xmas present for me!

Any recommendations (software/hardware upgrades?)

Well, creating the raid 5 arrays now, seems there's 1 HD thats full of bad sectors. Good start!

Other than that, it'll be glorified file storage for everyone in the house. All those lights sure look pretty in the dark.. just waiting for the FC card+cables to arrive.. atleast I can manage it via ethernet

Fit the budget thats for sure!
