Hi!

At work we are one of the lucky five 'test offices' out of about a thousand who have recently (October) been switched over to Macs.

We seem to have quite a few problems, but most we get sorted.

However, we have a reoccurring problem when printing. First it takes a while to send the documents to the printer, and then it pauses for about a minute between pages.

Here is our set up:

SAMSUNG CLP-670ND
3x 21'' iMac late 2012 2.7GHz i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, OS X 10.8.5
Running local users with connection to server.

The printer is connected to one of the iMacs and shared, however the problem occurs on all of them.
We are also using two Kyocera FX-2000D and a ScanScnap iX500 without any problems with the same setup.

We never had this problem with the Windows XP machines we had, it also seemed to solve itself last month (wait time about 3 seconds) but is back again to a minute.

The file we are trying to print is a 4 page word doc, double sided, colour, about 10Mb. (with photos)

Anyone have a solution?
Cheers,
jd

Update: So the problem seems to go away when separating the pages. ie it prints normally when set to print page one 50x first then page 2 50x. It takes very long to send to the printer, but at least it prints. Anyone got any ideas on this?
