For example, if you want to record the music coming into your ears and also your own voice at the same time?
Or you are talking on Google Voice and want to record both the other party and yourself?

Rogue Amoeba makes highly-rated audio capture apps. Download the trial versions of Piezo and Audio Hijack Pro to see if they work for you.

Alternatively, try one of the screen recording apps - they usually allow recording both computer audio (ie which plays through speakers) and your mic input. Examples: Voila, ScreenFlow, Camtastia. You could EITHER disable the "screen" recording OR pull out only the audio tracks from the saved movie file.
