I bought a macbook air in 2011 when I first started attending college.

I fell in love with OS X, and Apple in general. I already had an iphone and an ipad up to that point, but owning an actual mac computer was the final sweet taste for me.

Anyway, my Apple Care expires next year, and I was thinking of getting another Macintosh, but would it be worth it?

I was planning on getting an imac, as the ipad now covers all of my portability options. It will be the 2014 model, and I know we have no clue what those will be like, but do you think it's enough of a difference going from a 2011 macbook air to a 2014 imac?

I honestly thought about just hanging onto my macbook air until after college, but the storage space is really being eaten alive, don't know if I will have enough space to make it last until then. Right now I struggle just to keep around 50 gigs free.
