there has never been a discount.

Apple rarely has discounts on their iPhones, iPods, and iPads. (generally around or before the holidays...we have already passed this though) Sometimes carriers like Verizon or ATT will have a discount(but not that big of a discount) or Bestbuy will have a discount...I think your best bet is Bestbuy if you have one near you. I would just keep checking their weekly ads because they always have a lot of great deals...even on phones.
