The media and the Kennedys

What is it with the media and the their love of the Kennedys? Of 'Camelot'?
I mean, they were a great family but their time seems to have come and gone. We all know tragically in many instances.
The family doesn't seem all that politically active anymore and the one guy who the media ABSOLUTLEY ADORED died not too long ago.
JFKjr. didn't really strike me as much of a leader anyway. So what gives? Is it the Hollywood mystique, the tragedy and angst of the family itself?
I don't get it.
I think it's just pure image. Just love of a particular clan who had a streak of greatness that isn't there anymore.

They're often referred to as American royalty.

Just as the Royal Family in Britain is adored themselves, they hold no real power. Ok, I'm using the word 'adore' in a general liberal sense of the word.

Here's to the Crazy Ones

Umm whilst the royal family may be adored by some people in the UK it is loathed by others, don't mistake media fawning with what people think.

Huh... I keep hearing nasty things in the media about Ted Kennedy.
