All iPads Setting up new iTunes/iCloud/Apple ID accounts for iPad?

Ive bought an iPad Air for the whole family to use. We want to keep this separate from our existing individual iTunes/iCloud/Apple ID's that we have on our other Apple devices.

So Im guessing I can set the iPad up as a new device, but I assume I will need to control it from my MacBook if I want to transfer films etc onto it, and to use findmyipad etc?

So how do I go about doing this? Do I need to create a new iTunes account on my MacBook? Is this possible?
